News From NYVRA

On June 18, 2015 the Licensing Bill for vision impairment specialists with a specialization in Orientation & Mobility and/or Vision Rehabilitation Therapy passed both houses of the New York State Legislature with unanimous consent and was subsequently vetoed by the governor.  In March 2019 and January 2021 the bill was revised and reintroduced in the legislature thanks to the extremely hard work of Senator Roxanne Persaud and Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo.

Many thanks to our Government Relations partners Greenberg Traurig and Jonathan Bing.
